Why a Low-Profile Modular Couch Is Perfect for Your Studio Apartment

Discover why a low-profile modular couch is the smart choice for a studio apartment—space-saving, flexible, and stylish in every inch. In a studio apartment, your sofa isn’t just a place to sit—it’s your lounge spot, guest bed, and sometimes even your dining bench. With so much riding on a single piece of furniture, picking the right one makes all the difference. A bulky sofa can crowd the room, while a too-small one might sacrifice comfort. That’s where the low-profile modular couch comes in—designed to give you more freedom, more function, and more style in less space.Large, bulky sofas can make the room feel cramped, while fixed furniture layouts don’t offer the flexibility you need. That’s why choosing the right sofa—one that’s compact, functional, and visually light—is crucial to making your studio feel like home. ... A low-profile modular couch is a game-changer for small spaces.Choose coffee tables or side tables that match the sofa’s low height to maintain a balanced aesthetic. Add tone-on-tone throw pillows—same color family, different shades—to create depth. This makes the couch look inviting and lets you sit upright with back support when needed. These small styling choices help maintain visual flow and give your studio apartment a thoughtful, cohesive look.A low-profile modular couch isn’t just a trendy pick—it’s a practical investment for any studio apartment. With its flexible layout, space-saving features, and compact elegance, it transforms tight quarters into a functional, stylish home.

Research: Low studio utilisation fuels demand for dynamic media operations | Advanced Television

Broadcasters’ studio infrastructure is only used to make TV shows for a small proportion of the time available: one European public service broadcaster estima Widespread underutilisation of expensive studio infrastructure underscores the financial and sustainability benefits of dynamic media operations. By shifting from dedicated hardware to flexible, software-on-COTS solutions, media companies can reconfigure resources rapidly, maximise infrastructure utilisation and significantly reduce wasting resources such as rackspace, electricity and cooling, generating considerable efficiencies compared to historic utilisation patterns. “Low and unmeasured utilisation delivers huge inefficiencies in traditional media operations,” said Ed Barton, research director at Caretta Research.Broadcasters’ studio infrastructure is only used to make TV shows for a small proportion of the time available: one European public service broadcaster estimated its studio utilisation at less than 10 per cent.

The Beats Studio Buds Are at Their Lowest Price Ever Right Now | Lifehacker

The Beats Studio Buds are currently down to $79.95 on Woot, which is the lowest price they've hit so far (according to price trackers). That’s a big cut from the usual $149.95 and even beats Amazon’s current $99.95 listing. This deal runs for the next 11 days or until it sells out. They come with active noise cancellation and a Transparency mode (pretty rare to have at this price, especially with Apple-backed integration for both iOS and Android), although the ANC isn’t as strong as what you’d get with more expensive earbuds. According to PCMag, the Beats Studio Buds handle low-frequency noise like plane rumbles fairly well, but higher-pitched sounds and background chatter can sneak through. The Beats Studio Buds are on sale for $79.95 on Woot, their lowest price yet (normally $149.95). The deal lasts 12 days or until sold out, with free shipping for Prime members.

Best small studio monitors 2025: Compact speakers from budget to professional

Three contour the low-frequency response: -2dB and -4dB bass tilts which combine for -6dB, and Desktop Control which dips -4dB at 200Hz. ... KRK’s Rokit monitors are some of the most popular speakers for home studios, particularly among electronic musicians. While they lack the compact portability of something like the iLoud Micro or JBL One Series, PreSonus’ two-way Eris monitors are certainly small enough for use in small studio spaces. In fact, given their very attractive price point, modest size and broad level of connectivity, these are a perfect first step up for bedroom producers graduating from working purely on headphones to their first proper monitoring set-up. The low-end reproduction isn’t amazing here – even compared to some more ‘portable’ speakers – but it’s respectable for the price. The best speakers for small studios and portable use, from KRK, Focal, IK Multimedia and moreSonically, these aren’t quite a match for their larger counterparts – notably in the low-mids, which lack a little presence – but for their size and price they still impress. The high frequencies are not unpleasant and the mid and upper mid-range is reasonably forward. The rear-ported configuration enhances the low end enough so you don’t feel they lack punch. With huge advances in speaker technology over the last few decades, it's now possible to find an excellent pair of studio monitors that are small enough to fit into a backpack, yet powerful enough to deliver mix-worthy sound.
